It's time to celebrate your business and boost sales! There are various elements you can test to discover the ideal strategy for your website. Below are some options that might just get you ahead of the game!

Trustpilot, Feefo, Google, and Which? Trusted Trader are well-known review platforms that many consumers use to decide which businesses they can trust. Major platforms like Trustpilot and Google offer completely free sign-up options. If you're not already part of their squad, then we recommend starting here to begin collecting valuable feedback from your fans.

But wait? What if you are already a member of one of these platforms? If the answer is yes, and you have a good roster of reviews along with a high score, then our next suggestion (provided you haven’t done this already) is to ensure that at least one of the platform widgets (e.g. Trustpilot) is placed prominently on your website, ideally above the fold, rather than placed elsewhere (e.g. near the Footer). Give it a shot and see whether this changes the number of leads and sales down your end of the pitch!

Part of your sales pitch on the website needs to sell you, and your workmanship, if you haven’t done so already, then consider implementing a gallery section highlighting before and after photos of your work. Furthermore, introduce pictures of yourself or your team to put a face to the name (helping to build trust).

However, be careful with the pictures that you choose, don’t showcase low resolution images as these are likely to do more harm than good, furthermore, make sure you’re after photos don’t contain undesirable background images (e.g. rubbish, scaffolding, and scruffy workman) as you are meant to be selling a dream here, not what looks like a headache. As for your personal/team photos, ensure that a smart dress code is applied, smile and stand up straight (this creates a friendly, approachable and confident look).

Game Plan Guarantees
And Warranties

Throughout our years of talking with clients, we've often heard about the impressive guarantees and warranties they offer. However, these standout features are frequently missing from their website. If you have major highlights, like 2-year guarantees or 10-year warranties, make sure to showcase them prominently (above the fold on your website). This can be a game changer in attracting potential leads. Give it a shot and see how it boosts your performance!

However, make sure your game plan is better than the competition's. You might think a 10-year warranty is a solid defense, but what if your rival team is offering a 12-year warranty? (I know which team I'd sign with). Study the field to ensure you're truly outplaying the competition.

Your years of experience, certifications, awards, and partnerships help to sell you. You could have 15+ year’s experience, be MCS qualified, or be NCCA approved. Crucially though, are you highlighting these stand out features in an easy to digest format on your website? If the answer is no, then consider creating a revolving banner showcasing them, furthermore, place this banner just within the above the fold section.

However, before you kick off with this style of play, make sure to order these parts by their popularity level. Just like fans recognise Premier League teams over local clubs, users are more likely to recognize the brand Which? over HIES. Therefore, Which? Should come first in the revolving banner order, to ensure that users are kept engaged.

Some football fans enjoy supporting their local teams, just as many customers prefer to support local businesses. Are you a business that serves specific areas? If so, does your website reflect this local focus? A locally themed website should feature a local telephone number, highlight the areas you serve, and include content and photos that continue to emphasize your local presence.

However, be selective in the areas that you are looking to promote, allocate your time towards specific postcodes that are more affluent in comparison to others, that way you will not find it as difficult to charge a premium along with also closing a sale.
